DESCRIPTION
Traminer is a vine originating from the Trentino-Alto Adige region, precisely from Termeno (Alto Adige, Tramin, in German), from where it then spread, starting from the 16th century, in Alsace and in some important German wine-growing areas , such as Württemberg and the Palatinate, whose temperate-cold climate enhances the aromas.

The well exposed and sunny hills of Roveré della Luna and Valle dell’Adige north of Trento at altitudes between 250 and 400 m a.s.l. The Roverè della Luna vineyards are located on an ancient fan, with brown soils, not very deep, rich in skeleton with a sandy-loam matrix; while the vineyards of the upper Adige Valley are located on deposits of glacial origin (moraines and conoids), with sandstone, siltstone, marl, limestone and dolomite: medium-deep soils, with a sandy-loam texture, rich in stones and pebbles. The climate of this area is sub-continental, with rather rigid and often snowy winters and hot summers, but with strong temperature variations between day and night, which favor the production of very aromatic wines with very fresh aromas and flavors. .

VINES:

Traminer exclusively. Not very productive variety, but of excellent quality. The yields are maintained at 60-65 hectoliters per hectare. The bunch is small, compact, winged and deep pink when fully ripe. It is a very demanding vine with regards to soil and climate: it prefers soils rich in skeleton, very loose and not calcareous. It is quite resistant to winter frosts.

VINIFICATION AND AGING:

The perfectly ripe and rigorously selected hand-picked grapes are de-stemmed and crushed; the must thus obtained remains in contact with the skins for a short time at a temperature of 5-6 ° C in order to extract the aromas. The pressing is carried out with particular care, avoiding excessive extraction of color, even if the must in this phase can take on a typical coppery color which during alcoholic fermentation disappears spontaneously, taking on golden yellow tones with light greenish reflections. After fermentation, carried out in stainless steel at a temperature not exceeding 20 ° C, it is refined in tanks for 4-5 months before bottling.

TASTING NOTES
White wine with a bright, golden yellow color, with brilliant reflections, it shows a great consistency. The nose is intense, rich, with very intense olfactory notes of tea rose with soft olfactory nuances of spices, such as thyme and juniper. In the mouth the wine is elegant and structured, with great balance, almost creamy. Very rich aftertaste that is expressed with long persistence, which evokes aromas of rose, apricot and dried pineapple.
