The geographical area that best lends itself to organic apricot production is represented by Basilicata and, specifically, by the coastal plain of the Metapontino, where the favorable geo-climatic characteristics allow to obtain excellent fruits without the use of chemical treatments.

Apricot is rich in magnesium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, potassium, vitamin B, C, PP, but above all of carotenoids, precursors of vitamin A.

Two hectograms of apricots provide the daily requirement of vitamin A for an adult person.

This fruit is suitable for those with anemia or chronic fatigue problems, for convalescent people, for the elderly and for children in the age of growth.
