Distilled in the woods of Appalachia and South America since the 1800s, Moonshine has remained illegal for generations. This American whiskey is produced by the McCormick Distilling Company in Weston, Missouri. Founded in 1856 as Holladay Distilery, it has continued to produce whiskey under different names over the years even during the years of prohibition. It originates from ancient traditions and from a recipe that has its roots in 1800. It can be appreciated for its pleasant sweetness which nevertheless never hides a strong and full character. Platte Valley Corn Whiskey is a small batch product created following an ancient recipe that involves the use of corn only and aged for 36 months in American oak barrels. It is bottled at 80 proof. in beautiful ceramic jugs.
