Livio Felluga Rosé is a new way to represent the most typical thing we have: the character of our terroir. This character, as well as the Livio Felluga style, can be grasped at the first taste. The creation of Rosé is part of the long series of innovations that our company has introduced over time. In the wake traced by Livio Felluga, this never happened to flee from tradition, but rather inspired by it to make it contemporary and always alive.

The Merlot, Pinot Nero and Schiopettino vines benefit from soils composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin. The harvest took place during the second half of September and the first days of October. The healthy and perfectly ripe grapes are harvested by hand, in small boxes, to preserve the integrity of the berry. Gently de-stemmed, it is then gently pressed, and the must thus obtained is clarified by decantation. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel and terracotta containers. At the end of fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees for a few months, to increase its flavor, creaminess and a vocation for aging. Once bottled, the wine then rests in thermo-conditioned rooms for aging.

Sensory characteristics
Color:
Bright salmon pink.
Nose:
Intense, fine and of great elegance. Floral fragrances of wild rose and azalea alternate with fruity notes of currant, raspberry, wild strawberries and pink grapefruit. A clear trace of mineral and iodized matrix is ​​enhanced by a pleasantly balsamic finish.
Palate:
Full and harmonious. In the mouth it amazes for the great balance between flavor and softness. Characterized by sweet hints of white pulp fruit. Of excellent persistence, it closes with a pleasant aftertaste of blood orange.
Pairings:
Also to be enjoyed as an aperitif, it goes perfectly with both iodized and spicy foods. It can accompany oysters, spaghetti with bottarga and sea urchins, chicken tikka masala, sea asparagus, or more simply fresh goat cheese.
