The composition of the grapes is now redefined by a higher percentage of Pinot Noir (22%) which brings character, structure and depth to the components represented by Chardonnay (77%) and Pinot Blanc (1%).

Alma Gran Cuvée Bellavista is an excellence of our understanding of Franciacorta.

It is the maximum expression of a project that, since 1977, has set itself the goal of seeking the pure essence of harmony.

Today, it is a symbol of a tradition that wants to represent, in quality and typology, the most mysterious soul of the land of Franciacorta and the oenological style of Bellavista.

A result obtained through an artisanal method that has now become rare for the meticulous care that we dedicate to each single processing phase and for the respect that we give to "time", choosing nature and its extraordinary biodiversity as the only guide and unit of measurement.

In its name, "Alma", the tender homage to the land of Franciacorta that generates wonders (from the Latin "almus" = that nourishes, that feeds and makes life grow. By extension: great, noble, magnificent).

IN THE VINEYARD We have always cultivated the vineyard as if it were a small, precious garden. The "cru" of Bellavista are today 147 and these small plots are further divided into 224 micro parcels.

We work on an extension of 190 hectares of vineyards and in them we operate a classification of 64 different types of soils that represent all 6 units of landscape of Franciacorta: an exemplary biodiversity that at each harvest gives us the charm of an extraordinarily wide expressive range and full of nuances.

To achieve the result you find in Alma Gran Cuvée, we only draw from the 10 parcels of the 10 Municipalities of Franciacorta which over time have been more suited to expressing character and elegance.

This choice presupposes a distinctive geographical location that meets the following requirements: South or South-East orientation, altitude from 200 to 350 meters, maximum exposure to the breezes coming from Lake Iseo and the Prealps.

The care of the vineyard is entrusted to real masters of viticulture and the average age of the vines, which today has exceeded the average of 20 years, is only one of the many parameters that attest to the utmost respect dedicated to the work of the winemaker.

IN THE CELLAR Attention to the most subtle differences within the terroir continues tirelessly during the winemaking phases to reach its peak in the assembly of wines, a real "art" in which the uniqueness of each "cru" is enhanced in order to obtain a complete and complex "ensemble", destined to achieve perfect harmony over time.

The selection made in the vineyard finds full expression in the cellar where each individual parcel is harvested separately to keep the biodiversity heritage sought after in the vineyard intact and pure.
