15% vol.
Variety: 100% Sangiovese
Aging: 38 months
We made this Brunello di Montalcino from our vineyards located south-west of Montalcino at an altitude of 330-350 meters above sea level, facing the sea and the Maremma. This territory is the hottest area of Montalcino. Here the soil is composed of sandstones and rocky marls and allows the birth of mineral wines with a good structure.
The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is intense and elegant. Traditionally vinified. After two weeks of natural and spontaneous fermentation, the wine is decanted into large French oak barrels where it ages for 38 months. Refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months. The color is ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose is rich, intense, with hints of ripe red fruit with intriguing notes of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is balanced, with excellent acidity that gives vitality and freshness to a very elegant and complex wine. Notes of spices such as black pepper accompany the aftertaste. Excellent soft tannins that characterize the body of the wine itself. Perfect with cheeses, meats and game.
