Undisputed symbol of the Speri family, Amarone Sant'Urbano is an excellent example of finesse and classicism. An extraordinary wine of great complexity and vigorous structure that has always been at the top for elegance and quality.

VINEYARDS

Monte Sant'Urbano property, in the municipality of Fumane. Located on a hill at an altitude between 280 and 350 m./a.s.l. - high average age of the vineyards.

VINES
Corvina Veronese and Corvinone 70%,
Swallow 25%,
Molinara 5%.

WINEMAKING
Manual selection of the best bunches and subsequent drying for approximately 100 days, with a weight loss of approximately 40%. Subsequent pressing and long fermentation with maceration.

AGING
24 months in 500 l French oak tonneaux; followed by 18 months in medium-large Slavonian oak barrels. Bottle aging for 12 months.

ALCOHOLIC CONTENT
15% vol.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS
Intense garnet red in color, it has an ethereal scent of dried fruit. On the palate it is full-bodied, warm, enveloping, dry. An important wine of rare elegance, it lends itself well to ageing.

GASTRONOMIC PAIRING
Suitable with robust second courses of red meats such as braised meats and game, excellent with mature cheeses.
