BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT
Elements of Islay is the selection of Scottish malts conceived by Sukhinder Singh - founder of "The Whiskey Exchange", a great collector and selector of whiskey -, to celebrate whiskey with a strong, smoky character, and a decisive taste of iodine and salt. The pharmaceutical laboratory bottles pay homage to the “medicinal” character of these whiskeys, carefully selected by Oliver Chilton, head blender of Elixir Distillers. Peat & Sherry is the result of two Islay single malts aged 18 months in a barrel of Oloroso Sherry. A whiskey with a full alcohol content where the character of the sherry reigns supreme.
HOW I DRINK IT
To be tasted neat.
FOCUS
Elements of -islay is a selection that brings to the bottle the maximum expression of Islay's peaty whiskeys. They are all selections of a number of barrels ranging from 1 to 20 for the individual Elements, where the name of the distillery is declared using a two-letter abbreviation. Accompanying the acronym is the release number, which starts from 1 for the first, up - in some cases - to 14 for the fourteenth release. The blends, on the other hand, are the result of the assembly of a greater number of barrels from different distilleries that are not declared on the label as the age of these assemblies is not declared.
