Born in 1870, X.O. was created by Hennessy for the personal use of Mr. Maurice Hennessy, for his family and his friends. Hennessy XO is composed of more than one hundred aqueducts aged from 10 to 70 years, some dating back to the beginning of the past century, which come from the largest reserves of old Cognacs in the world and rest in the Hennessy cellars. The long aging process gives Hennessy XO an exceptional aromatic richness, a complex and persistent taste and a full-bodied and generous aroma. The color: deep ocher. On the nose: ripe fruit, hints of spices, sweet wood tones and a nice alcoholic note. The taste: wild berries, toasted wood, balanced, elegant and robust, a little cinnamon. The finish: intense, persistent taste. The origin: Hennessy is known for purchasing eaux-de-vie from the entire Cognac region. So it will probably be a mixture of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois, Borderies ... Age: The average age of the eaux-de-vie is 45 years
