The selection of our best Chardonnay is the basis of Franciacorta Satèn Spensierata, characterized by an enveloping perlage and a marked creaminess due to the lower pressure in the bottle. Softness and roundness are also obtained thanks to a greater maturity of the grapes at harvest and a longer aging on the lees.
THE VINEYARD
Geographical location: in the municipalities of Gussago, Rodengo Saiano, Ome, Fantecolo, Passirano, Monterotondo, Adro, Coccaglio.
Soil characteristics: typical of the 6 vocational units of Franciacorta.
Agronomic model: organic management with the beginning of the conversion process in 2014 and certification in 2017.
Soil management: deep tillage of the inter-row and mechanical cleaning of the sub-row.
Vine nutrition: use of plant biomass and green manure practice.
Yield per hectare: 80/90 quintals of grapes per hectare.
Grapes: pure Chardonnay.
Average age of the vines: 17 years.
THE WINE
Harvest: selected and hand-picked grapes in 15 kg boxes.
Parcel vinification: 7 parcels vinified separately.
Vinification: soft pressing of the intact bunches with fractionation of the musts (45% flower must, 15% second must).
Fermentation and maturation: in steel.
Aging on the lees: minimum 30 months.
Alcohol content: 12.60%.
Residual Sugar: 5.5 gr/lt.
Acidity: 6.20.
Sulfur dioxide: 58 mg/lt.
THE GLASS
Perlage: persistent with fine and enveloping bubbles.
Colour: brilliant straw yellow with light greenish reflections.
Bouquet: fragrant bouquet with notes of white flowers, white pulp fruit and delicate citrus scents.
Taste: elegant and creamy entry accompanied by a delicate freshness, balanced with pleasant fruity returns in the finish.
Pairings: ideal for an aperitif and for pairings throughout the meal.
Serving temperature: 6-8°C.
