Like all Botran rums, Anejo is generated from "virgin cane honey". Winner of numerous awards, including the "Grande Medaille d’Or" at the 38th Sélection de Mondiale des Alcols et Liqueures held in Luxembourg. Perfectly positioned between North and South America and flanked by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, Guatemala is a land rich in biodiversity and varied ecosystems. It also happens to have enriched volcanic soils and an ideal climate for the cultivation of sugar cane, the raw material of Botran Premium rum. The altitude and cooler temperature limit evaporation so that the rum can adopt their individual taste profiles. Making it "high-rum" in this way is a unique art that has been carefully preserved and enriched over the years. For over six decades Botran has been crafting rum in this great Guatemalan tradition. The total dedication of the Botran family to superior quality and taste is present at every stage of the process, from the sugar cane fields through distillation, aging and for the final fusion.
