Contrada located in the heart of Menfi, totally dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards with very high summer temperatures and strong diurnal temperature variations


Territory of origin: Contrada Bonera - Menfi (AG)

Variety: Nero d’Avola 50%, Cabernet Franc 50%

Wine type: Sicilia DOC

Soil: Limestone, sandy

Yield per ha: 8500 - 12000 kg/ha

Vine density per ha: 4000 - 4500 plants / ha

Altitude: 90 - 150 m aslm

Exposure: South facing

Vinification: Maceration of the grapes at 25°C for 8 - 10 days

Maturation: 3 months in barrique

Bottle ageing: 4 months

Colour: Ruby with attractive purple highlights

Nose : Hints of red fruits that blend well with scents of dried fruit such as prunes and almonds

Palate: Intense and full, with good structure given by silk and soft tannins

Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C

Food matching: Tasty dishes, seasoned cheese, roast and grilled meat

Cellar life: 4 - 5 years
