The history of Veuve Clicquot is one of boldness, creativity and daring.
In 1810 Madame Clicquot invented the first ever vintage champagne, in 2015 Veuve Clicquot declared the Maison's 67th vintage.
Since then, the house has cultivated the art of aging.

The predominance of Pinot Noir (50%), produced exclusively with grapes selected from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, provides the typical structure of Clicquot. Chardonnay (30%) brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine, while a small percentage of Meunier (20%) completes the blend.
The 2015 Vintage Rosé blend is made with 13% still red wine, coming exclusively from Bouzy Pinot Noir.
Veuve Clicquot's Vintage collection is unique in its use of wines vinified and aged in large oak barrels (10%), which add strength and aromatic intensity. Barrel-aged wines bring additional complexity with their spicy notes and subtle roasted coffee and roast aromas.”
