Marnoso is produced from the grapes of a single ridge vineyard in the hamlet of San Martino in Venti.

The soil of this particle is characterized by overconsolidated marly clays from which the wine takes its name.

The vineyard is highly planted and the training system is spurred cordon. The yields per plant are low thanks to scrupulous selections in the vineyard.

The harvest is done manually in 15 kg crates, in the second half of September.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in vats with prolonged maceration of the skins according to the vintage.

Marnoso ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, 6 months in bottle and is marketed for 26 months from the vintage.

The Villa Otto Lune farm was born from a project of study and enhancement of the Sangiovese grape variety, where innovation and tradition come together to create a wine with a unique style.

The Dini family has been cultivating Sangiovese on the Rimini hills since the 1960s in the hamlets of San Martino in Venti and Santa Aquilina.

The hilly terrain dates back to the geological era of the Pliocene characterized by a variable texture between the valleys, in the exposures and by the presence of active limestone.

The particular hilly position of the vineyards placed at a height of 100 m s.l.m., the temperature range and the influence of marine ventilation, create a peculiar microclimate, where Sangiovese manages to best express territoriality, finesse and elegance.

In this project the collaboration with the agronomic and oenological consultant Fabrizio Moltard was valuable, who from the beginning followed this project with extreme professionalism.
