1 JAR X 700g

Description
We grow William Pears in our orchards in Alba and Langhe. The subsequent transformation takes place only with the addition of cane sugar.

It is one of the most typical ways to appreciate this particular summer fruit.

The pears are harvested when ripe and processed after a few hours, we add only the natural light syrup made with cane sugar.

In this way a preserved product is obtained with the same characteristics of the fresh product with unique organoleptic properties and which enhances the particular flavor of this particular variety of peach.

They are excellent to be tasted naturally, simply by opening the jar or to prepare delicious desserts, or on ice cream.

The syrup is great to drink!

Varietal characteristics
The William Pear is one of the most widespread and cultivated ancient varieties of pears in agriculture.

The origin is from the same species Pyrus communis but it is a cultivar that developed in England between the years 1765-1770.

Its name derives from its speaker a certain Williams.

It is a so-called summer pear, as the harvest is normally at the end of summer; it is in fact one of the first varieties of pears that are harvested in Piedmont.

The fruit has medium or medium-large size, cidoniform or sometimes pyriform shape.

It has a juicy, clear and very sugary pulp.

It reaches the peak of ripeness in late summer.

The fruit has a yellowish light green color with the presence of lenticels, the pulp is ivory white.

The pulp is fine, dark and sugary and has a characteristic muscat aroma.

Productive process
The entire production process is carried out manually according to the ancient peasant tradition of home-made fruit in syrup in jars to be consumed in the winter-spring period, in the absence of the fresh product.

The freshly picked fruit is selected, washed, cored, and carefully placed by hand in the jars.
