Junìpero Gin is produced by Anchor Distilling in San Francisco, a company that has produced the famous "Anchor Beer" since 1896.
It is, however, only in 1993 with the purchase of the brand by Fritz Maytag that the company will produce gin for the first time, thus becoming the only beer producer in the world to also have an internal distiller.

It is produced according to an artisanal manufacturing process and distilled in small copper stills. The dominant flavor and aroma are mainly given by juniper, processed according to the traditional recipe of "London dry gin".
The secret of this recipe is given by the combination of twelve botanicals for which it took more than 10 years to elaborate it.
