GINEPRAIO in Italian literally means "juniper bush, scrub". It is the intertwining of juniper plants from which the berries are collected, the main ingredient in the production of Gin. In Tuscany the word GINEPRAIO also takes on the metaphorical meaning "getting into a thicket", that is, putting yourself in a difficult or complicated situation.

In London DRY GIN it is not possible to add sugar in the preparation and it is mandatory to distill all the botanicals together (i.e. all the parts of the different plants used in the recipe).

All the ingredients are placed inside the fragile still, through which the alcohol passes during the distillation process, extracting from the botanicals the oils and essences necessary to give GINEPRAIO its distinctive character. In addition to the classic CORIANDER, ANGELICA, LEMON and ORANGE, we have selected two other plants from our region: ROSA CANINA, a climbing species of wild rose, and HELYCHRISIUM, a wild plant that produces yellow flowers in July and grows on the Tyrrhenian coast and in Sardinia .

All these essences enrich the powerful flavor given by the main protagonist of the liqueur: juniper. In reality there are 9 essences, because we use 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF JUNIPER. Given the importance that Tuscany has in the production of juniper, during the development of our recipe, we compared the results of these berries coming from three different areas of Tuscany, distilled separately. This was necessary because juniper, like many other plants, retains different organoleptic properties depending on the area in which it grows.

Mediterranean in all senses, this gin is a range of exciting aromas and flavors, from green mandarin to bitter orange, from oregano to lentisk and wild carrot, with an excellent mineral finish that makes it a perfect gin for mixology.

DESCRIPTION
The new Ginepraio Organic Mediterranean Dry Gin is a unique product, created in collaboration with the "Ultimate Nose” Benedetta Tecchio and her husband Claudio Gaiaschi of Podere Santa Bianca.

The uniqueness of Tuscan junipers mixed with the oils extracted from the plants typical of the Mediterranean basin, create a gin that best interprets the contemporary style of distillates, embracing the world of perfume essences.
