BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT
Rhum Rhum Liberation 2020 is the Pure Single Agricole Rhum produced starting from an ancient variety of sugar cane, Rouge B47.259, which has almost disappeared from the Antilles. Once they have reached perfect ripeness, the canes are cut by hand with the traditional "coutelas", transported to the distillery on the "cabrouets" pulled by the bulls. The freshly pressed juice is not diluted, as usually happens in the production of rum agricoles; fermentations take place in open vats at a controlled temperature and last up to 5/6 days. After distillation, a long period of rest in steel vats begins which lasts up to a year, during which the alcohol content is slowly lowered. The rum is then left to age in French oak barrels that have contained some of the best wines from the greatest crus in France. All Liberations have the year of "liberation" from the barrel on the label. This version was bottled at 45 °.
HOW I DRINK IT
Rhum Rhum Liberation 2020 can be tasted neat, it is a bottle that cannot be missing in the selection of great agricultural rhum enthusiasts, who will find in Rhum Rhum a real extra gear.
FOCUS
In the mid-2000s, Luca Gargano reliazza a dream that he had been cultivating for years, that of producing the best rum in the world. To do this he makes use of the collaboration of the master Gianni Vittorio Capovilla and together they choose the enchanting island of Marie Galante, where at the time the best possible terroir in the Caribbean could be found. A first alembic was installed at the Bielle distillery in 2005 and the second in 2007: two Müller bain-marie stills with a capacity of 300 and 1200 liters. The fresh and undiluted cane juice slowly ferments in stainless steel cuves.
