ONCE UPON A TIME

In 1789, while in Europe the French Revolution was taking hold, in America Reverend Elijah Craig called for the first time his whiskey with the name Bourbon.

This is what the American tradition handed down to us, enriching the Bourbon crafting art and identifying more and more this whiskey as the authentic Spirit of several States of the Federation.

The magic of refining Bourbon is based on the necessary and subtle contribution of the wood: this whiskey, by ageing in barrels, gains complex olfactive and aromatic traits from wood, together with the deepening of the color reaching the typical dark amber hue.

Just as Bourbon whiskey is the iconic American Spirit, in the international feeling Piedmont is paired with a name that made the wine History of the Langa hills: Barolo.

From the Nebbiolo marc, coming from the hilly area surrounding Alba, we get one of the Spirits the represent at their best the UNESCO heritage Vineyard Landscapes of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato: the Barolo Grappa.

Aged for more than 18 months in Oak Barriques, this Spirit gains the color, perfumes and aromas typical of a Riserva, emphasizing spiced scents together with toasted and dry fruit notes.

At this stage, Barolo Grappa encounters the sensorial allure of American Bourbon whiskey, with the aim of creating a unique, surprising marriage: the Spirit, representative of Piedmont dry Grappas is stored in barrels formerly used to age Bourbon whiskey.

Barolo Grappa, then, keeps ageing gaining exceptional notes, able to exhalt in a singular, inimitable way the strong personality of this 100% Piedmontese Spirit.
