Roccaìa is our most structured Vermentino. Strong and persuasive with a vigorous and tasty soul. It comes from Vermentino grapes grown according to biodynamic principles in one of our oldest vineyards, whose planting dates back 35 years ago.

A Vermentino that goes through wood to enrich its bouquet and make it softer. It has a deep straw yellow color with golden hues.
On the nose it expresses rennet apple and bergamot, salty notes, hints of thyme and lemon balm and vanilla fragrances.
On the palate it is fine, fresh, with pleasant softness and good persistence.

A great Vermentino suitable for aging

PRODUCTION AREA Tenuta Masone Mannu, Località Su Canale, Monti (SS)

SOIL Granitic sands, rich in iron and with a good clay component

GRAPES Vermentino 100%, 35-year-old Guyot-trained vineyard, density of 3000 vines per hectare

HARVEST Manually in boxes at the end of September. Average yield: 60 quintals per hectare

VINIFICATION Maceration for 12 hours on the skins, followed by soft pressing, fermentation with temperature control

AGING 18 months in oak barrels on fine lees with repeated batonnages

COLOR Intense yellow with golden reflections

FRAGRANCE Elegant and complex. Intense fruity aromas enriched with balsamic and vanilla notes.

TASTE Full and enveloping. Savory and spicy with a vibrant freshness. Wine with great aging capacity.

GASTRONOMY Perfect in combination with first and second courses based on fish and fried foods. Excellent meditation wine.
