Appearance: light gold.

Nose: The first hints are of lemon peel and white berried grapes enriched with exotic notes of pink grapefruit and ripe mango, slightly balsamic. Then a spicy hint makes its way. With the addition of water, the previous aromas fade to make room for those of white pepper.

Body: light to medium. Palate: A creamy texture, the taste explodes with a fruity and malty sweetness along with hints of rum toffee and spiced pineapple, green banana, spices and wood. The addition of water creates a more silky texture with even more preponderant hints of peppery spices.

Final: Quite short, sweet and peppery. With water, the wood-derived spice becomes more present

Legend has it that one day the ancient black rock beneath Cardhu cracked loudly and intense heat poured out from within, creating a tropical paradise.

The cold wind became a warm breeze and tasty aromas of passion flower and pineapple danced in the distillery, enveloping everything it touched giving a new exotic nature.

At midnight, the crack in the rock closed, and the atmosphere became silent again. Only the whiskey remained as a witness to that day, to tell the story.

Today, the wind-whipped heather fields surrounding the Cardhu Distillery and its green lawns hide the truth about Cardhu's real name, Carn Dubh, "the black rock". On this splendid hill the Cardhu distillery was born and thus its unmistakable charm.

Crossing its iconic red door, the distillery has welcomed passers-by for centuries, inviting them to taste a whiskey reminiscent of the sweet aromas of Scottish orchards.

Here, as we age in Jamaican Rum barrels, a tropical sweetness comes to life. With a golden color and a silky texture, we find notes of pink grapefruit and ripe mango that enchant the nose. On the palate, hints of rum toffee and aromas of spiced pineapple and green banana.
