The Real McCoy 5 Y.O. Distiller's Proof 46 ° is a single blended rum produced in a limited edition by the Foursquare Distillery of Barbados, starting from high quality black strap molasses that ferments from 48 to 56 hours. The distillation takes place partly in a continuous coffey column and partly using a copper pot still double retort from Green Engineering. Aging for at least 5 years takes place strictly in a tropical climate and Richard Seale himself composes the blend of liquids after the right aging time in ex-bourbon barrels.
