Galup is a name, an original recipe, a unique and different way of making panettone and Colomba. Before Galup, panettone was only the Milanese kind.

The low panettone with hazelnut icing was the brainchild of Pietro Ferrua, born in the Langhe but now living in Pinerolo. His idea, his recipe. A brilliant and delicious innovation, it reinterprets an ancient Lombard tradition and, a few years later, inspires a new classic of Piedmontese fine pastry making: the Galup Colomba. Over time, the recipe has been refined, but the dessert's personality remains the same, the same one Pietro Ferrua gave it and which, in just a few years, earned his pastry shop the title of Supplier to the Royal House.
