Pastificio Gentile, founded in 1876, is one of the historic artisanal pasta makers that have made the town of Gragnano famous worldwide for its pasta. Even today, in this age of advanced technology, Gentile preserves its artisanal production methods, with attention to every single detail, from the selection of raw materials to the control of every production stage.
All the shapes produced are bronze-drawn, and include traditional classics like paccheri or fusilli, as well as new, original shapes. It was precisely this desire to experiment that led to the creation of one of the company's most famous shapes today: SpaghettOne, a spaghetti with a diameter of 2.7 mm.
The flagship product has always been the Fusillo, made entirely by hand. Starting with a simple tagliatella, the "fusillare" (wrapper) rolls tagliatelle after tagliatelle under their forearms with a knitting needle, giving it a helical shape, enhanced by the uniqueness of each individual fusillo.
