In 1908, a small group of winemakers, just 14, encouraged by a merger and aggregation, founded the "Premiata Cantina Forlivese," one of the first Italian cooperative wineries. Even today, it shares the same founding spirit of promoting wines and the local area as a means of developing local viticulture.

In step with the vital momentum that characterized Italy following the Second World War, the cooperative demonstrated a strong desire for growth, including material growth. It incorporated the Cantina Sociale di Forlimpopoli in 1989, the Cantina Sociale di Predappio in 2000, and the Cooperativa Agricola la Bidentina in 2007, expanding its operations to include the cereal sector. This confirms its ongoing commitment to quality improvement and development, always with a focus on environmental sustainability.

To meet new production needs, expansion and redevelopment of the winery have begun, along with the construction of modern facilities and ongoing technological innovation, for a total storage capacity of approximately 60,000,000 liters.

Today, Cantina Forlì Predappio is a cooperative made up of 1,712 members, and is a member of and represents one of the founding members of the Caviro group.
