Our company began in Cirò in 1880 with great-grandfather Peppe, who had a strong passion for growing grapes and a great spirit of sacrifice. Using simple farming tools, he worked the land and transported the harvest with horses and donkeys.

Our father Peppe, born in 1931, began working alongside his grandfather in the vineyard at the age of 9, inheriting his experience and winemaking skills. He soon became a grafter and vine grower (he successfully grafted hundreds of hectares of vines during his youth) as well as a qualified producer of authentic red wine, made from his own "Gaglioppo" grape, typical of the area.

He opened his own winery in 1973, continuing the production and sale of bulk wine, thus satisfying the demands of an increasingly numerous and demanding clientele. In 2009, after modernizing our father's cellar, my brother Francesco, Sergio, and I, assisted by our father, began bottling our own wine. We currently produce a Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore "Aris" and a rosé "Il Marinetto." They come from exclusively organic vineyards, two hectares of which are low-yield bush-trained, 60-70 quintals per hectare (one hectare planted in 1945, the other in 1980). Approximately two hectares were planted in 2005 using spurred cordon.
