Maison Jules Brochet is a young and dynamic group of independent winemakers located in Écueil, in the Montagne de Reims, one of Champagne's most renowned Pinot Noir regions. The estate was officially founded in 2019 by Pierric Brochet, who transformed the family legacy into an artisanal project focused on the pure expression of the terroir.
The property extends across approximately 4–6 hectares of vineyards, spread across several villages including Écueil, Mailly-Champagne, and Taissy, also including parcels classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru.
The production philosophy is strongly rooted in respect for nature: sustainable and often organic vineyard work, manual harvesting, and low yields to prioritize grape quality.
In the cellar, the style is artisanal and minimally interventionist: spontaneous fermentations, long aging on the lees, and the use of wood (barriques and demi-muids) to foster complexity and depth, without obscuring the fruit's identity.
Jules Brochet cuvées are characterized by a modern style yet rooted in Champagne tradition: precise, taut, and mineral Champagnes, often with very low or no dosage, highlighting the purity of the Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir and the finesse of the terroir.
In summary
Jules Brochet represents one of the most interesting new voices in contemporary Champagne: a small domaine that combines natural viticulture, micro-plots, and artisanal winemaking, creating Champagnes with a strong identity, elegance, and territorial depth.
