In 1907, a passion for wine and dedication to viticulture drove thirty-six farmers from San Paolo, Missiano, Monte (Appiano), and Riva di Sotto to look to the future together. Thus, they founded the Cantina Produttori San Paolo.

The first year after the cooperative's founding required particular flexibility. Until the inauguration of the new building, the harvest was held in the private vineyards and in the rented cellar of the "Schwarzer Adler" inn.

Within a few years, thirty more members joined the pioneers of San Paolo, and the cellars were equipped with the most modern machinery available at the time. In addition to commitment and passion, quality became the new shared goal. Over the decades, the number of members and the quantities of must delivered and stored grew considerably.
