Some projects immediately captivate you with their boldness and authenticity. When one of our long-standing partners told me about Selvatiq, presenting the idea of producing gin using exclusively wild botanicals harvested from the world's most remote regions, I immediately sensed the common thread that characterizes many of our initiatives: a profound respect for the land, a connection to nature in its purest form, and a quest for the essential and uncompromisingly high quality. We couldn't help but be part of this adventure.

HISTORY

Selvatiq was born in 2019 as a revolutionary project in the world of premium spirits: producing the highest quality spirits following a nomadic approach, seeking the purest botanicals in the most remote places on the planet. In 2024, under the leadership of Giacomo Sandri and Marco Magnocavallo, the project further evolved, placing even greater emphasis on the diversity of the regions and their native juniper trees. Each gin in the Selvatiq collection tells the story of an extreme territory: from the peaks of the Himalayas to the wild coasts of Sardinia, to the desert expanses of Utah.

PRODUCTION METHOD

Selvatiq's production follows a unique process. It all begins with the hand-picking of wild botanicals in its three territories of origin: Himalayan juniper (Juniperus Indica), harvested at over 3,500 meters above sea level in Nepal; Coccolone juniper (Juniperus Oxycedrus) from the wild coasts of Sardinia; and Utah juniper (Juniperus Osteosperma) from the American desert. Each territory contributes its own characteristic botanicals: from Himalayan Timur pepper to Sardinian myrtle, to sagebrush (a particular type of artemisia) and white sage from the Utah desert. The distillation takes place in an ancient Italian distillery, where the precious botanicals are processed according to the London Dry method, guaranteeing a perfectly balanced aromatic bouquet capable of preserving and enhancing the wild essence of each territory.
