HISTORY

Founded in 1969 in Piano di Sorrento, PIEMME was born from the initiative of Sorrento artisans committed to producing traditional liqueurs and sweet specialties. Since 1986, the company has produced its own Limoncello following an ancient family recipe, passed down from generation to generation and reinterpreted through an approach that combines craftsmanship, supply chain control, and modern technology. Today, PIEMME remains deeply rooted in the Sorrento Peninsula, committed to promoting local ingredients, starting with the PGI Sorrento Lemon.

PRODUCTION METHOD

PIEMME Limoncello is made exclusively from PGI Sorrento Lemons, hand-picked at the perfect level of ripeness and processed fresh to preserve their aromatic profile. The peels, rich in essential oils, are peeled and infused in alcohol to naturally extract the fruit's color, aroma, and character. PIEMME uses fresh, unfrozen peels in higher quantities than most other brands, without using additives, artificial flavors, or sweeteners.

After infusion, the addition of water and cane sugar completes the process, resulting in a fresh, intense limoncello deeply rooted in the Sorrento Peninsula.

In addition to Limoncello di Sorrento, PIEMME also produces Organic Limoncello and a range of traditional liqueurs, including Nocino, Agrumello, Finocchietto, and Liquirizia, as well as specialty desserts made in-house, including the iconic Babà in its classic rum and Limoncello versions.
