The company owns 4 hectares of land planted with Fiano, at 600 to 720 meters above sea level, with a northeast exposure. The first planting was done in 1992. The vines are trained using Guyot (espalier) systems. Plant density: 2,500 vines per hectare. Low yield per hectare. The soil is composed of sandy clay marl and upper sandstone conglomerates. Due to its geographical location and topography, Summonte enjoys a cool-temperate climate. During the summer, temperatures average between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius, with daily temperature variations of around 17 degrees Celsius. The strong winds, in every season, make the air particularly clear and healthy. During the winter, however, short-lived snowfalls occur, allowing the area to be rich in water from the deep valleys that descend from the mountain.
