6 BOTTLES X 75cl

Classification: Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC

Variety: Nebbiolo 100%

Origin and Soil: Alt. 250 m. Exposed to South, South West.

Shallow depth of sand, layered with gravelly levels and limestone-clay interlacing.

Tasting notes: Ruby red color of intense tendency to garnet.

Elegant scent with hints of raspberries, pink and licorice. Full flavor, harmonious and long aftertaste. Nebbiolo Occhetti is a soft and elegant wine. For these features, it is well suited for hot starters, first courses and not too rich meat dishes. Serve at 16 ° C.

Climate: Vintage 2014, despite being one of the most complex in the management of the vineyard, given the adverse weather conditions, has reserved pleasant surprises in the quality of the grape grapes thanks to a favorable end of the season.
Early spring has favored an anticipated vegetative recovery over the previous year but rainy summer (over average) has favored fungal attacks by compromising the amount of grapes produced.

Both in September and October were undoubtedly positive from the climatic point of view, with a good thermal excursion, favoring ripening of grapes and the composition of its phenolic framework.
Arneis and Moscato present sugars that are very similar to the previous harvest combined with sustained acidity.
For red berry varieties common is the high quantity of both anthocyanins and polyphenols with well-colored wines and supported by good acidity.

Vinification: Harvest began on September 29 and ended on October 1st. The grapes that came into the cellar were dirasped and pressed. The maceration lasted about 7 days at a maximum temperature of 29 ° C. Malolactic fermentation ended before winter. After a period of aging lasting about 18 months the wine was bottled.
