Southern Comfort is a famous American liqueur created in 1874 and currently produced by the Brown-Forman Corporation.

It seems that the creator of this liqueur was Martin Wilkes Heron (1850 - 1920), an Irish barman from New Orleans, Louisiana, who produced it in 1872.
