Located at an altitude of 800 meters in a region with a harsh climate, the distillery has pure water springs filtered through the mountain over the centuries.
Another peculiarity, the production of whiskey takes place only in the winter period.
The drop in demand in the 1980s forced the distillery to close its doors in 1992 until it reopened in 2001.
