VINIFICATION
The grapes are harvested by hand.
The vinification is done in red with maceration on the skins for 20-25 days at
controlled temperatures of up to 24°C.
AGEING
For at least 30 months in 50-hl Slavonian oak barrels. The wine rests in the bottle for
at least 6 months.
HARVEST PERIOD
Between September 5th and October 5th.
AVERAGE VINEYARD ALTITUDE
From 120 to 650 m above sea level
SOIL TYPE
The Montalcino hill has numerous soil
environments, as it was formed in different geological eras,
predominantly mixed clayey soils rich in
shell.
TRAINING SYSTEM
Primarily spurred cordon,
but also Guyot.
Clear color, purple red tending towards garnet.
Intense fruity aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants, and cherries.
Full-bodied and rich, with soft fruity sensations that confirm
the aromas, well-balanced by a pleasant freshness.
Excellent with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
