20% ABV
L.B.V. stands for "Late Bottle Vintage."
It is a port produced from a single vintage and aged for 4 to 6 years in barrel. Unlike Vintage Port, which requires a long aging in bottle and must be consumed immediately after opening, L.B.V. is ready to drink immediately; the bottle can remain open for a long time, but it does not improve with age.

TASTEW HISTORY WITH THE OLDEST PORTO HOUSE
The passage of time brings with it experience, wisdom, and intuition. Kopke's Vintages are, above all,
proof of a unique personality. Bottled after 4 to 6 years of aging, this Late
Bott-led Vintage has an intense ruby red color that tells the story of an exceptional vintage that stands out
in the long history of the brand.
WINEMAKING
Hand-harvested at the optimal moment, the grapes are then destemmed, pressed, and transformed
into wine through a process of careful maceration to extract color, tannins, and
aromas, enhanced by continuous stirring during fermentation. This takes place in vats
(lagares) at a controlled temperature (between 28 and 30°C) until the right level of sweetness is achieved
(baumé). At this point, grape brandy is added to create the final fortified wine.
A high-quality wine, produced from a single harvest, bottled 4 to 6 years after the harvest.
TASTING NOTES
Intense dark purple color with a lively and intense ruby edge. Aromas of ripe berries
on the nose, combined with notes of violet, black pepper, and hints of eucalyptus leaf. On the palate, firm tannins stand out, combined with a vibrant and crisp acidity. All the aromas are
perfectly combined, with aftertastes of raspberry, blackberry, and apricot, concluding
in a long and persistent finish, so characteristic of Kopke.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Absolutely delicious with dark chocolate and berry desserts, chocolate mint cheesecake,
and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at 16°C to 18°C.
