Climate
The 2024 vintage began with a mild winter
characterized by some rainfall
that partially contributed to
replenishing the soil's water reserves, which had been depleted
after a rain-poor summer. The vines' vegetative recovery
occurred regularly during a
generally mild period. The end of spring and
summer were marked by a mainly rainy season. These
climatic conditions required particular agronomic
attention to preserve the vine's health,
and not only that: thinning in particular played a
fundamental role in ensuring the production of grapes
characterized by a reasonable sugar concentration
and good freshness. The harvest
for Prunotto Langhe DOC Arneis began on September 13th
and ended on the 23rd of the same month.
Vinification
The grapes, harvested in baskets, were gently pressed, and cold decanting separated the clear must. Fermentation took place at a temperature no higher than
18°C for approximately 15 days. Before bottling, the wine aged in stainless steel tanks
at a low temperature for several months.
Historical Data
Prunotto Langhe DOC Arneis was created to represent its terroir, which has always been suited to the
production of Arneis, and to interpret the varietal personality through a modern style that is
particularly pleasant and delicate.
Tasting Notes
The wine has a straw yellow color with light greenish reflections. The nose is intense and
characterized by floral and fruity notes. On the palate, it stands out for its good structure supported by
a pleasant freshness. The finish is long.
