The light red wine for every day

An accessible red wine, with youthful energy. It is light in body with hints of soft but dense and meaty forest berry flavours. Hints of pepper, black cherry, thyme and cold smoke are also discernible. Is a quiescent and very balancing wine. Once poured, its fruity, enticing character is revealed. Best enjoyed young.

Tasting Notes

The not very hot summer and the temperature range of the beginning of September led to a long period of veraison, which began later than usual. From mid-August interventions of peeling and thinning of the bunches have accelerated the ripening of the grapes, bringing in the historical canons of the second week of September for the harvests dedicated to the ColleMassari Riserva. Pleasant impact on the nose, above all fresh and vinous notes of cherry and berries accompanied by sweet spices. The taste is soft and inviting; the tannins are enveloping and play in balance with the freshness of acidity.

SUITABLE WITH

Antipasti, barbecues, poultry, pasta with tomato sauce, lasagne, grilled fish, duck, mature cheese
