When the first Italian POPWINE ranking was revealed at Vinitaly 2014, Rosso di Valtellina topped the list. La Gazzetta dello Sport chronicled the rise of this invigorating Alpine Nebbiolo, highlighting its youthful energy and modern expressive elegance.

ARPEPE Rosso di Valtellina DOC was born in 2003 during a scorching summer, extremely challenging for our winemakers and our vineyards. It was unfair to undervalue such hard work by selling off the grapes, unsuitable for long-term vinification. The choice was natural: what might be of little value in the distant future can be ennobled at a young age. Rosso di Valtellina thus developed a free and carefree character, despite its more serious and refined older siblings' fears of its longevity.
