Barolo Vermouth has a long tradition, and is cited by Strucchi in his "Monograph on the Vermouth of Turin" published for the first time in 1906, considered the most important historical work on this product.

This typology, known since the end of the nineteenth century, saw the elegant union of two champions of today's market, as then, the King of Wines, Barolo, with the Prince of the Aperitif, the Vermouth of Turin.

Pleasant before a meal, diluted with seltzer, but used, in the past especially after dinner, as a meditation wine, this type was very successful and all the main vermouth producers tried their hand at its production, achieving great success.

It is important to underline that it is and is not a relative of the equally famous Barolo Chinato, as the main bittering agent, clearly present in the aroma and in the tasting, is the Artemisia plant, used here in some fine varieties. Furthermore, the Barolo Levi Vermouth is enriched and fortified, as happened in the past, by a few drops of original Romano Levi grappa. The result is a vermouth with an important and complex structure, perfect in every situation.

DESCRIPTIVE
Given the power and class of the wine, Vermouth is characterized initially by the floral note of dried rose typical of Barolo, perfectly blended with the clearly perceptible aromas of cherry and wild strawberries. Once the aromatic intensity of the wine is over, the herbaceous notes of artemisia and chamomile begin to emerge, with a finely spiced finish with hints of rhubarb and cinchona.
The taste expresses itself in power and intensity, with excellent taste-olfactory correspondences, pitting in sequence spices such as clove, vanilla and cinnamon, the delicately spicy and warm notes of mace on a background of orange peel.
The good acidity of the wine, the freshness of the cardamom and the right balance of the sugar open to the pleasantly bitter finish which sees artemisia and cinchona in evidence with an elegant finish of rhubarb and citrus fruits.
