1 BOTTLE X 75cl.
2013
"A specialty of the Terlano Winery are its so-called "Rarities," special bottles of aged white wines, matured for at least ten years on the lees in pressurized steel tanks. What is most fascinating about these wines is their youthful freshness, an element that makes this Pinot Blanc so captivating, despite its venerable age. It is a wine that lends itself perfectly to long bottle aging.
Terlano has a terroir very suited to great white wines, and these Rarities are the most tangible proof of this.

Wine description
Color: Clear, bright straw yellow with subtle greenish reflections
Nose: The 2010 Rarity impresses with its great complexity and impressive freshness. Notes of herbs such as chamomile and a hint of white peach combine with subtle mineral notes reminiscent of flint.
Taste: On the palate, the Rarity impresses with its compact and elastic structure, which leaves an infinitely long finish, characterized by enormous tension and a salty minerality.
Vintage
2013, A vintage of exceptional white wines and a Pinot Noir that will leave its mark. The past year was characterized, especially in the weeks leading up to the harvest, by sharp temperature swings: from 10-11°C at night to 25°C during the day. These fluctuations ensured our white wines possess good acidity and a low pH.

Soil
Quartz porphyry, of volcanic origin, is the predominant rock formation.
The light, lean, sandy, and clayey soils result in naturally low yields.
The subsoil is composed of 55-60% quartz rock, with a slightly acidic pH.
The wines of Terlano, savory and full of character, excite experts with their Their longevity.
The soil, rich in gravel and sandy clay, has a high quartz content. However, it lacks calcium carbonate, resulting in slightly acidic pH values. Under these conditions, the soil is much better drained, has limited nutrient availability, and therefore favors more balanced vine vigor, with naturally lower yields. The Terlano terroir is also distinguished by the unusual characteristics of its soil, which force the vine to react to these stressful conditions, producing the specific polyphenols that make Terlano wine unmistakable. This is why these grapes produce wines with distinct flavor, tension, and depth. And the unique blend of crystals and minerals in the subsoil gives rise to white wines whose extraordinary longevity continues to excite experts around the world.
