WINERY
The Lagardère family story begins when Pierre Lagardère, Gaël Lagardère's great-grandfather, purchased a hectare of land in Pomerol after the First World War. The property was later expanded with new land in Montagne and Pomerol by his son Jean-Claude. In 1999, Gaël, the founder's grandson, decided to focus on quality production and invested in state-of-the-art equipment in the cellar.
Together, father and son dedicate their full attention to the vineyard and the cellar, continually striving for excellence, year after year. Passed down through four generations, the passion for viticulture has already been passed down to the younger brothers Damien and Clara, whose future promises to continue the family tradition.
The vines of Château Négrit and Rocher-Calon are sustainably grown on the limestone hills of the Montagne-Saint-Emilion appellation, where they ripen to perfection and express their terroir, producing high-quality wines with notes of ripe red fruits and supple aromas. These wines represent the union between the family's traditional savoir-faire and modern oenology, supported by Jean Philippe Fort, an expert from Michel Rolland's laboratory, who provides advice during vinification and aging.
