The recipe has an ancient history and dates back a long time, but the ingredients have remained unchanged over time—the same ones used to make a delicious homemade cake.

Flour, milk, and eggs create these ultra-thin and fragrant puff pastry sheets, delicately stamped with one of the symbols of this beautiful Tuscan spa town. At the center are granulated sugar, almonds, and vanilla. Two hot plates assemble the puff pastry sheets and their precious filling in a sweet embrace.
