PRODUCTION AREA:

Coste di Rose is a prestigious Barolo hill with an east-facing exposure and a

significant slope that favors excellent grape ripening.

The soils, with moderately calcareous content, are rich in quartz sand and very fine silt,

giving the grapes—and therefore the wine—intense floral characteristics.

VINIFICATION:

The grapes are rigorously harvested by hand, and the

best bunches are selected in the vineyard. Once they arrive at the cellar, they are selectively destemmed and

gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a

controlled temperature: a range of 24-26°C is maintained to preserve the full aromatic

potential of the specific terroir.

Through repeated delestage and pumping over, a 15-18-day maceration

is carried out, aimed at gradually extracting the noble polyphenolic components

from the skins.

AGING:

After racking, the wine begins a period of clarification and maturation in vitrified concrete

vats, before continuing to mature in wood.

The evolution lasts approximately two years. During the first year, the wine ages in small

French oak barrels, with the aim of fixing the color and increasing its

aging potential; the percentage of new wood is perfectly balanced to

maintain the distinctive characteristics of this Cru.

During the second year, the wine ages in large Slavonian oak barrels, where its

finement and elegance are enhanced.

The wine reaches its full expression after at least one year of

aging in the bottle.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

The color is bright ruby ​​red with delicate garnet notes. The aroma is intense, with

notes of wild rose and peony predominating, along with a crisp spiciness

of black pepper and cloves; The delicate woody finish makes it a Barolo

of great elegance.

On the palate, it is broad and velvety, with a refined structure that perfectly blends

the tannins.
