PRIMARY PRODUCT:
Precious selected pomace, harvested fresh and soft of Monovitigno® Merlot, Chardonnay, Malvasia and Verduzzo grapes.
ARTISANAL DISTILLATION:
Discontinuous with head and tail cutting, in copper steam stills.
NATURAL AGING:
8 years in barriques and small casks. 0% color additives.
ALCOHOL CONTENT:
43% vol.
BOTTLING:
Non manual. Bottle in black glass, ‘diamond wheel’ hand cut, silver plated chain.
TASTING:
It should be served at room temperature in a wide balloon type glass.
TASTE SENTATION:
Elegant and sensual.

Fermentation

Under vacuum in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperature, immediately
followed by distillation in order to avoid harmful secondary fermentations.

Natural aging

8 years in Limousin and Nevers oak barrels and in ex-Sherry small barrels, under seal and permanent surveillance by the Customs and Monopoly Agency. Bottled without color additives.

100% Distilled with artisanal method

Batch method in exclusive copper steam stills, the result of Benito Nonino’s innovation and continuous research, which with the elimination of heads and tails allows the selection of the purest part of Grappa: the heart.
Distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible of the fragrances, a proper evaporation and the consequent condensation preserving the precious organoleptic characteristics of vine variety chosen.

Sensations

Visual Sensation – Intense and brilliant amber color.
Olfactory Sensation – Rich and sensual with scent of apricot, plum, cherry, spices, candied fruit, raisins and chocolate.
Tasting Sensation – Elegant and velvety, in the mouth it confirms the olfactory and fruity richness, with notes of pastry, spices, chocolate and marzipan that complete the harmony and richness of this extraordinary Riserva. Persistent.

Combinations

Its elegance and personality make Grappa Nonino Riserva 8 Years in barriques perfect to conclude a meal and to be tasted with friends or as a companion while reading. Unforgettable if coupled to cheese, foie gras, dark chocolate or chocolate based warm sweets.
For its richness and persistency it goes very well with a good Toscano or Cuban cigar. In the summer we advise you to taste it on the rocks in a low tumbler.
