The 2008 vintage is one of the most beautiful in recent years in Champagne. A rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful September that yielded superb grapes for the harvest. 2008 is undoubtedly an exceptional year in Champagne.

Rare 2008 is a champagne made with 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from Grands and Premiers Crus. The bottles benefit from a prolonged lees aging of at least 10 years to enhance and develop the wine's aromatic bouquet.

To the eye, the intensity of the crystalline gold color recalls a yellow diamond, punctuated by a fine and joyful effervescence.

The nose initially reveals the linear purity of this vintage. As it warms in the glass, the bouquet releases infinitely fragrant accords of orange blossom, hyacinth, and white flowers, then opens onto notes of vanilla blossom, fresh coconut, Williams pear, fresh almond, mandarin, and blackcurrant buds. On the second nose, the saline and refined minerality marks a harmony of iodine and smoke, enhanced by a touch of licorice.

On the palate, aromatic sensations unfold with notes of fresh pineapple, passion fruit, kiwi, coconut, and tangy citrus. Finally, the finish, punctuated by a remarkable, iodine-rich salinity, prolongs this discovery of a pure and infinite spring.
