Our Brut – QBLACK – is the representative cuvee of our winery, our “flagship”. Made from a blend of our three grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc: all our varieties are represented in this wine. It is the result of an alchemical process in which it gives a part of itself to all of our Franciacorta wines and then gently brings back together the selected wines of every vintage. The base wines are mainly fermented and pre-aged in steel tanks and partially in barrels and after the tirage they remain in the bottle over 40 months.

BLEND: Chardonnay (61%), Pinot bianco (26 %), Pinot nero (13%)

VINEYARDS: all of our vineyards

ORIENTATION: south, south-west facing

ALTITUDE: 180-230m above sea level

SOIL TYPES: moraine and fluvial-glacial origin

GROWING SYSTEM: spurred cordon

PLANTING DENSITY: 5.500 vine stocks per hectare

PRODUCTION PER HECTARE: 95 q.li

HARVEST DATE: from 22nd August to 11th September

HARVEST: our grapes are hand-picked and placed in small cases

VINIFICATION: soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks (95%) and in barrels (5%)

BASE WINES AGEING: 10 months in stainless steel tanks (95%) and in barrels (5%)
