The Etna Rosso Tenuta Solisciaro is the result of the historic De Bartoli family's expansion on the northern slopes of Etna, combining their experience in Marsala and Pantelleria with the volcanic terroir.
Main Characteristics
Grape Variety: Produced with 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown at high altitudes on volcanic soils.
The wine matures for 12 months in second-passage oak barrels and an additional six months in the bottle.
Tasting Profile: A bright ruby red with a bouquet of red fruits, cherry, and spices (black pepper and tobacco). On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and mineral, with elegant tannins and a persistent structure.
Winemaking: Using indigenous yeasts and aged in oak barrels to enhance the complexity without overpowering the varietal's identity.
Pairings: It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, pasta dishes with rich ragù, game, and aged cheeses.
