Imaginary

Once upon a time, in the heart of Italy, there was a sacred place that attracted thousands of pilgrims every year: the Basilica of Loreto. In that sanctuary, the Madonna appeared different, with a dark face that touched the souls of the faithful. It was not the original color of her skin, but the mark left by the smoke of candles, offerings lit with devotion over centuries of pilgrimages.

That dark color became part of her legend, her identity. In the popular imagination, the Madonna of Loreto had become Italy's Black Madonna, almost an echo of the more famous Marian apparition in Lourdes.

In 1921, a fire devastated the basilica.

But from the destruction came a new choice: to rebuild the statue with cedar wood, maintaining its dark appearance, as if to forever fix the memory of popular devotion.

A gesture that transformed pain into a symbol, ashes into identity.

And it is precisely from this story that AGAVESANTA was born. We chose to use the same iconic bottle as our Holywatergin, because this new creation is born of the same sacred inspiration.

But AGAVESANTA is something more: a bridge between Italian spirituality and the vibrant heart of Mexico.

The Distillate

In our distillate, the soul is 100% agave, a tribute to Mexican tradition.

But there's more: we add cedar essential oil, the same wood used today to carve the Madonna of Loreto, to evoke a light smoky note in the aroma and flavor, an olfactory reminder of that 1921 fire.
