This exceptional vintage celebrates the savoir-faire of those who have worked on every single bottle. The Cuvée is characterized above all by an aging process which gives it greater complexity and depth.

BORN FROM NATURE
The launch of a new Cuvée Dom Ruinart is always an exceptional moment. It is the most complete expression of an extraordinary Blanc de Blancs. Since the launch of the first Cuvée Dom Ruinart, in 1966, only 27 Millesimati have been presented to the public.

The 2010 vintage is characterized by a very harsh winter, an early summer and a rainy August. During the first tasting after the harvest, the Maison's team of oenologists realized that the 2010 Chardonnay vintage was characterized by an intense richness, the premise of an excellent Millesimato.

For Dom Ruinart, the Maison selects only Chardonnays from exceptional terrains, especially Grand Cru.
90% of our Chardonnays come from the Côte des Blancs (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Chouilly & Cramant), the heart of this variety, with exposure to the east; and the other 10% comes from the Montagne de Reims, especially from the Grand Cru sites of Sillery, the historic vineyard of the Maison.

GUIDED BY INTUITION

Dom Ruinart 2010 marks a turning point.
In its pursuit of excellence, the Maison has decided to prolong the aging phase of the wine to release more levels of it. For this Cuvée, the team of oenologists thought of reintegrating the cork in the aging process: an intuition that was later approved during the tastings, year after year.
During a 10-year maturation, the cork gives the Cuvée woody notes. Aromas of toasted almonds and coffee are also revealed on the nose and on the palate.

This Millesimato presents the aromatic freshness typical of the Ruinarts. Over time, it is expressed with even greater depth and aromatic complexity. More than any other Cuvée, it celebrates the savoir-faire of those who worked on every single bottle, which is why a manual disgorgement was carried out.

CHALK WRAP
In 2020, Ruinart revolutionized its packaging with the new second skin pack, which replaced the single packs. This sustainable innovation required two years of research and development.

Dom Ruinart's chalk wrap offers a new interpretation of this innovation. Soft and velvety like plaster to the touch, it is characterized by cracks and reliefs, as if it had been carved in limestone rock.

The hand-applied gold lettering enhances its extraordinary character. The 1729 discreetly engraved on the closure button embodies the tradition of Ruinart, the first Maison producing Champagne in the world.
